Vintage U.S. ONTARIO KNIFE CO Machete 18" W/ Composite / Bakelite Scales

Vintage U.S. Ontario Knife Co. Machete 18" With Composite / Bakelite Scales, With Vardaman Shoe Co. U.S Sheath. Vardaman Shoe Co went out of business in 1946. So this could be a real nice Collector piece, the sheath is dated U.S. 1943. Blade is 18", overall length is 23.25". Blade has scratches, marks, and stains from normal use. Scales have scratches, and marks from normal use. Scales have no chips or cracks. Machete is 4 large pins, full tang, black composite / Bakelite scales. Sheath has a tear on the back, and was stitched at one time, it is a little primitively stitched, pictures will show. Machete and sheath have wonderful patina. Machete is sharp, but could still use a proper sharpening. Machete and sheath are in good used condition. Good Luck, Sweet Military Piece. From The Clint Dunn Collection.
