Vintage Fisher-Price Woodsey Squirrel Family - 18 Piece Lot
Fisher-Price introduced the Woodsey characters in 1979 as a series of playsets designed to combine the appeal of small, soft animals with the adventures possible in a playset. The series lasted until 1981. Fun fact: Woodsey figures squeak when squeezed and are finger puppets too!
Figures included:
Woodsey bluebird figure with a blue head, yellow beak, and a dark blue cap. He has a printed brown mail pouch on his side full of letters. His arms are blue wings and he has a blue fabric tail. His round base and feet are yellow. Figure has wear and fabric pilling. Has original tag.
Woodsey mama has a light brown fur with a white cap on her head (2 brown ears attached to the cap). She wears a red fabric dress with blue flowers on it and has a white scalloped trim around the base. Her arms are have dark brown plastic hands on the end. She has a thick light brown furry tail and a brown round base with 2 feet. Figure has some marks on white cap, and dress trim is toned/dirty. Some loose or frayed threads inside arms. Without tag.
Woodsey father has a medium brown furry head with a blue cap on his head (2 brown ears attached to the cap). He wears red and brown pin-stripe pants with red suspenders over a white shirt with yellow polka-dots. He also wears a long blue printed tie with white designs on it. His arms have brown plastic hands on the end. He has a thick brown furry tail and a round brown base with 2 feet. Some discoloration/staining to figure’s shirt. He has original tag attached.
Woodsey son, Milkweed, has a brown furry head with a red cap with two brown ears attached. He sports blue overalls over a white and blue striped shirt. His arms have brown plastic hands on the end. He has a thick brown furry tail and a round brown base with 2 feet. Figure has staining in his clothing, and retains original tag.
Grandpa Squirrel has grey/brown fur with a yellow hat on his head with ears attached. He wears brown and orange checkered pants over a white apron with a pen, pencil, and pad in his front pockets, and an orange shirt with plastic hands on the arm ends. He has a thick grey furry tail and a round base with feet attached. He is in excellent condition with tag attached.
Uncle Filbert wears an orange flying cap with sides that flip upward. He sports a green pilot's uniform with lots of printed pockets and zippers. His arms are green with brown plastic hands on the ends. He has a thick light brown furry tail and round brown base with feet. Figure has a couple of fabric stains and original tag intact.
Structures included:
#960 "The Woodsey's Log House" (with harder to find green ends)
The main house is a foam-backed printed fabric log with green soft vinyl/plastic ends with yellow trim. It measures approx 9-5/8" long x 5-1/2" diameter. Yellow windows with fixed shutters are on one end, and the other has a brown door that opens and closes as well as a yellow porthole window with red trim. An attached fabric flap allows access to the inside and closes with two hook and loop fasteners. The top has a brown soft vinyl carry handle. Overall, this printed fabric dwelling is in very good condition. It does have some fraying/loose threads on some edges as well as a couple of small stains. Minor marks on the soft plastic may be able to be removed.
Airplane Hanger
Brown triangular foam-backed printed fabric airplane hangar with orange plastic wind sock on top. In very clean condition with original tag attached.

Airplane with Propellor
Soft yellow fabric airplane with foam-backed orange wings/tail, and a black plastic propeller. Figure sits inside where original tag can be found. There are several stains on the yellow fabric of the plane, and it doesn’t really hold its shape.
5 Chairs (1-15/16" wide x 2" deep x 1-1/2” tall)
Light brown soft vinyl wood-simulated chair with a round seat, rounded backrest and three legs. Very good condition.
Picnic Table (2-7/8" long x 1-11/16" wide x 1-9/16" tall)
Soft flexible vinyl picnic table has simulated wood plank look. Very good condition.
Stove (2 3/4” tall x 1 3/4” diameter base)
Soft flexible black vinyl potbelly style stove. Does not open. Excellent condition.
Hay cart
Brown simulated wood cart that rolls on two red spoke wheels. Excellent condition.
Rectangular printed pillow
Soft foam-filled cloth "pillow" that has a printed picture of six different vegetable products. This pillow fits in the cart bed. Very good condition.
