    Description

    Here is an old "BINZEL OCONOMOWOC" clear embossed bottle.  I am NOT a bottle collector so I did nothing to clean the bottle other than to rinse it with warm water.  The bottle appears in nice condition, but as I said, I am not a collector so PLEASE look at the pictures carefully.  There is a "haze" on the inside front of the bottle under "BINZEL" that you can see in the pictures.  I provide many pictures to make up for my lack of knowledge on bottle collecting.  The pictures were taken outside to provide the best light.  If you look at picture #10 there is an imperfection in the glass, but that's the way it came from the factory.  Adds character.
    When I researched the bottle, I could not find a definite date.  I do know that the Binzel Brewery went out of business in 1942.  One other huge clue to the age of the bottle is the marking on the bottom, "W.F.&S. MIL."  That stands for the bottle maker, William Franzen & Sons, they were in business from 1892-1920, indicating that this bottle would have to be in that age range.  That of course, makes the bottle "over" 100 years old!  If you know any other information and wish to share with me, please do and I'll update my listing.  Thanks!
    The bottle is about 9 " tall and 2 1/2" across at the base.  My "uneducated" guess would be that this was a 16 oz. bottle.  The bottle is a little on the "heavy" side.  It has a slight green hue, but is definitely a clear bottle.
