    Description

Here's a Camillus US Navy Jet Pilot Knife with original leather sheath made in 1971 as dated on the pommel.  Knife is all original and AS FOUND from a local Estate Sale.  It's been sitting unused since coming back from the War.  Knife is unsharpened and appears to have never been used.  Blade is flawless with all the original black phosphate coating.  Sawteeth along the spine.  Big rectangular steel guard with thong holes.  Some very light oxidation on the guard.  Grooved leather stacked handle shows no wear.  Hex shaped Pommel is stamped: CAMILLUS N.Y. 2-1971.  This has the Navy gray paint that you usually find on these. The sheath still has the original Norton stone in the front pouch.  Brass tip reinforcement.  There is dry rot on the back as shown in last picture from knife being stored in the sheath and rubbing against the steel guard.   A nice original example.
