The horn handle has some cracks, chips, and pit marks. On one side the previous owner filed slots through the rivets / handle. There is no sheath.     Description

    This knife was made in Vietnam by a craftsman named Nguyen Dan.  For reference see Silvey's book Knives of the US Military in Vietnam pages 110 - 113.  It is 10 1/8 inches long overall with a 6 inch blade.
    The knife has a water buffalo horn handle with a brass guard.  This item is used with lot of wear & damage.  The blade has rough grind marks & some spots of rust.  The tip is dinged.  The guard is loose & wobbly.  The horn handle has some cracks, chips, and pit marks.  On one side the previous owner filed slots through the rivets / handle.  There is no sheath.  A very skilled person might be able to restore the knife a bit?  For this auction it is being sold in as-is / damaged condition.  Shipping is .99
