    Description

    US Navy SEALs in Vietnam were tasked with attacking Communist piers, sampans, and junks in the effort to halt VC/NVA waterborne infiltration in the Mekong Delta. Their orders were: "Win the Delta, Come Hell or Low Water", and they did. Scubapro dive knives of the 1960s were prized for their durability and sleek design, and were extensively used by US Navy SEALs in Vietnam. Scubapro's highest line dive knives were made in Italy, and featured a corrosion resistant stainless steel blade and "staglite" handle. This US Navy Vietnam SEAL UDT SCUBAPRO STAGLITE HANDLE FIGHTING DIVE KNIFE is in very good condition, with a small leftward nick to the blade tip, some light sharpening and nicking to the blade edge, some scattered cleaning, scratching, and darkening at each side of the blade, some loosening to the guard, some light scattered nicking, crazing, and brownish soiling to the handle, and with some scattered age wear evident (ALL pictured). Otherwise, the knife is in fine shape, with no other damage. Most interestingly, it features an intimidating 7 3/4" saber ground blade with deep sawtooth serrations along the drop point and a sizable choil in the lower edge, sports the classic "staglite" handle with integral finger grooves, and is stamped upside down at the ricasso with its maker and serial number, the famous "SCUBAPRO" and "20062", respectively, along with "ITALY" marked upside down at the reverse ricasso. It boasts a metal guard, and is a fine example of a very rare, original US Navy Vietnam SEAL UDT SCUBAPRO STAGLITE HANDLE FIGHTING DIVE KNIFE.
