Quite elegant and delicate pair of Chinese chairs made of precious hardwood that looks suspiciously like huanghuli. There are two reverse teardrop hardstone panels on each chair surrounded by carved traditional embellishments. The seats are of a wonderfully chiseled chamfer with apron fronts on three sides. The lovely carved horseshoe type arms are supported by graceful sloping supports and the legs curve down to abbreviated paw-like forms. The back has a graceful carved back support.
All in all these will make an elegant show in any room. They can stand alone beautifully and do not require corners for placement much as they would nicely fit into corners.
Finish and condition is excellent.
Each chair measures 32" tall, 24" wide, and 20-1/2" deep.
