    Description

    This is a great Joseph Schlitz Brewing Co beer bottle. It is from the pre-prohibition era.
    It is embossed, "Schlitz" in cursive on the front. "AB CO. 0143 6" is embossed on the bottom. This was the hallmark for American Bottle Co. They produced bottles from 1905-1929. Prohibition started in 1920, so this bottle is from between 1905-1920.
    It measures approximately 9 1/8" tall, 2 1/2" in base diameter. It is amber brown.
    The Joseph Schlitz Brewing Co opened in 1874 and closed in 1920.
    There are no cracks, chips, severe scratches or nicks. There are some light scratches throughout.
    This is a cool piece of Milwaukee breweriana!
