RARE & ORIGINAL 1930's Shanghai Art Deco Sofa & Chair Set

I'm selling my extremely rare and original 1930's Art Deco sofa and chairs set.
I purchased this in 1998 in Hong Kong from a Shanghainese family that had told me they brought the set from Shanghai to Hong Kong in the 1960s.
The exposed/visible areas of the walnut are all in excellent condition with a few areas of rot underneath which appear to have been from many decades ago and mostly patched up with putty. When I purchased this set, the upholstery was falling apart, and the cushions and springs all needed to be completely replaced. I found the top upholster in Hong Kong who worked for David Tang (founder of Shanghai Tang), and picked out this rich, thick green fabric which was one of the most expensive fabrics he had in his inventory. He rebuilt the cushions exactly to size, re-upholstered the seating, and filled/repaired some gaps on the underside with wood putty.
As is typical of the time and craftsmanship, the wood work has no nails or bolts, but uses Chinese wood joinery techniques to holding everything together.
