SPLIT RIB BOWL - CANDY DISH / TRINKET BOX / COVERED BOWL
. It measures approximately 4 1/4 inches in height, 5 1/2 inches in length and is 4 1/2 inches wide.
It was made by the now defunct Summit Art Glass Company, and we believe they used the McKee Glass Company mold for the top and it looks like a Westmoreland mold for the basket.
Summit had molds that they purchased from many different manufacturers. We have another Amethyst rabbit covered dish that is on a different bowl. That one is a little lighter in color and this one is a little darker.
It has no chips, cracks or any damage. There is a thin rim of extra glass sticking up around part of the inside rim of the bowl. The lid will sit flat on the bowl but it sits off center because of that extra glass sticking up.
Since the factory that produced them has shut down, they will be hard to find in new condition.  Purchase them all and you'll have an instant collection, plus save enough on combined shipping to buy even more!  These would also make wonderful
gifts.  Fill them with candy and make colorful table decorations or store your jewelry on your night table!
