Pair Chinese Hongmu Low Back Chairs With Inset Marble And Brass Inlay
A fine and unusual pair of Chinese 19th Century carved Hongmu wood low back chairs. Each with shaped backs with fan-shaped inset marble panels surrounded with a brass inlay of repeating leaves. The seats are in a white marble with an open work panel below. The four squared legs are joined with box stretchers. Condition is very good. Circa: 1880. Dimensions: Height 34.5", Depth 16.25", Width 20.5", Seat Height 20".
