Original Thewalt Wine Pitcher And Cups Vintage West Germany

Hello! What we have here is a vintage West Germany wine pitcher with cups. They are in great shape except for chips on the bottom of one of the cups. They aren't very visible unless turned upside down, see photos. Must be at least from the East Germany period, good shape considering!
I believe the saying means "Drink golden wine from a stone pitcher", but I'm not sure.
