    Description

    Vintage
    Hawaii photo from 1940  US Navy Sailors collection.  He was serving on the USS Detroit which left San Diego for Pearl Harbor in summer of 1940.  Then anchored at Lahaina Roads, taking the train from Lahania to  Wailuku.  Left Maui for Hilo Hawaii arriving July 3 and sailors were in the July 4th Hilo Parade.
