Description
Up for Purchase are two rare century-old beer bottles from two neighboring counties - Will and Grundy - in Joliet and Morris, Illinois. I paired them together to give you value knowing that if you were interested in one, you'd likely be interested in the other. These beer bottles come from a collector in Joliet and they were stored safely in an attic for decades. With that said, these two beer bottles needed a heavy duty cleaning to get them to their current state. What you see now is the result of a lot of time and patience (and two rounds of cleanings). The last round used the alcohol/rice method, and it worked really well, but it's still going to take another round of cleaning using whichever magical method you rely on. I'm not a bottle expert, but I did my best.
1.
Citizens
- This bottle is the better one of the two, and it does have some scratches and scuffing, and it also has micro bubbles throughout the bottle, which is something I've never seen before (but I'm new to bottles). There's a few dings, with a visible arc about the 'brewing' part of the logo, but this would still display well.

William Gebhard
- This bottle is in a similar state, with some scuffing and scratching and some bubbling, albeit less so. It also has swirls and stress lines around the neck, and there's a large bubble located on the rear / mid section.
