Japanese M1 Carbine Bayonet (odd1) w/o Scabbard
Japanese M1 Carbine Bayonet (odd1) w/o Scabbard. Very nice working condition BUT the tang is sticking up through butt about .25" (?) Looks like it was never peened down. Bayonet is in at least excellent condition. Its marked 'JAPAN' on blade. The leather washer grip is very nice and attachment levers work. Blade has a darkened blue finish. These bayonets were mfr in Japan for various forces in area including ARVN during Vietnam conflict. Also sometimes available at the PXs. Have never found one with the tang sticking out. Guessing possibly unfinished? No scabbard available. Visit our other items. See/study photos carefully. . postage.
