Antique Late 18th Chinese Finely Carved Lacquered Chair W/Dragon Scrolled Splat
Very unusual form, delicately carved antique Chinese lacquered elm chair with mortise and tenon construction. The finely carved chair has a back splat with dragon and dramatic scrolled back. The chair is in good, sturdy condition with only isolated loss of lacquer. Purchased in Chicago around 2005 from an antique dealer. The chair is extremely heavy for its size at approximately 43 pounds. The measurements are approximately 41" tall x 21" wide x 16.5" deep.
