Antique Chinese Ming Style wood Hand carved Low Chair & Secret Compartment

No makers marks to help identify the age or history of this beautiful chair. Best guess it is from the very early 1900's or late 1890's
Ming Style low to the ground wood chair - I can not find a nail and looks that if all the pieces are connected with wood pins as nails -
measures over all 21" wide /  17" deep / 27" tall
The seat is 9" from the ground
Back of the chair has lovely hand carved floral and decorative accents and the arms also has carved shapes
The seat comes off and has a brass pull to see the secret compartment which is about 5" deep and the whole base of the chair (17" x 21" minus the thickness of the wood)
Shows minor wear due to normal use and age
