Antique Chinese 44 in long low Kang Cabinet 3 Drawer.
This Antique Kang cabinet / table has a flush panel top with gracefully shaped raised flanges on each end. There is a molded edge on the front and sides of the top.
The cabinet has  3 drawers along top. The drawer fronts have applied carvings on the top and sides. The carvings have a beaded edge with a simple carved detail above the drop pulls, which appear to be the original hardware. There is a wide fixed panel below the drawers. Behind this panel is a hidden compartment, accessible when the drawers are removed. The framework around the drawers is tapered on each edge and comes to a point in the middle. There is a fancy shaped apron between the legs with intricate carvings on the bottom edge.
There is a carved spandrel on each side under the overhanging ends of the top.
This piece is finished in a dark brown lacquer. Their is small section of missing wood on the top of the left flange as can be seen in the photos.
