Antique 19th C. Chinese Elmwood Armchairs

Description

A pair of 19th century Chinese Provincial arm chairs.  Spindle work backs with carved splat over a hexagonal seat.  Six tapered legs with carved detail and stretcher bases.  Mixed wood construction with elm seats.
These chairs were included in a 1995 Chinese Art and Furniture auction hosted by The Chinese Society of Arts & Culture Improvement at the Montien Hotel in Bangkok.
Older refinishing with slight wear.  Each 33 1/2" high, 20' wide, 14' deep, 20" seat height.
