(#2) Nearly New Fire Department Alboum "Cushion Air" Uniform Cap Hat

deepest NAVY Blue, nearly BLACK

This is a Fire Department cap or hat made by the W. Alboum Company of New Jersey.
SIZE
:  "Large" - 7-1/4 - 7-3/8
It is in
essentially new
condition -
if it was worn, it was only a couple of times
.
It is impeccably clean inside. The
only real issue is that there are two holes on the front where a badge has been removed
. Also
the
bill shows some light scuffing and off-black spots
.
The top looks like it has some very lightest fading -
please see our picture of the top,there is a not terribly noticeable but darkish area across it.
We looked online - and the Alboum price is just under .
The fabric has No tears, No missing stitches.
It does not have a badge
.
It has two silver "
FD" in a wreath
buttons, one on either side.
A maker card is inside the crown.
The sides  have never been crushed.
VERY IMPORTANT - the ONLY real issue :
This hat
did have a badge on it
, the badge has been removed
but there are
HOLES
in the front where it was fastened to the hat. And if you tilt the hat and look, you can see where the badge rested against the fabric. Hopefully this could be covered with a new badge, or at least played down.
The bill appears to be patent leather with a correct bright/shiny black top and green underneath. The black has some "cloudy" areas on it that will not polish away and a few light surface scuffs.
VERY IMPORTANT:
The sweatband inside is a synthetic (not leather) and does not lay flat against the inside of the hat. It is supple and acts like it should stretch out and fit the inside of the hat, but this is the way it is right now.
