From USAAC (USAAF) soldier airman Max Jacobs Hawaii Photo Albums. He enlisted Nov 1 1939 and arrived at Hickam Field Dec 29, 1939, He was with the 31st Bomb Sq at Hickam and when the war started then moved to help build Kipapa Airfield.  He was an radioman, part of a B-17 crew.    He went to mainland in 1942 for more training in July, became a Master Sargent when the albums end..
