    This photo is from the collection of a man who lived on O'ahu for many decades. He was a writer for both the Honolulu Advertiser and the Honolulu Star-Bulletin. He was on the island on Dec 7th, 1941 when Pearl Harbor was attacked. Please look for my other current listings of photographs and ephemera from Waikiki Beach, Honolulu and other locales.
    Publication of this photo was authorized by the War Dept. in Sept of 1940 and looks like it went into an October issue of the Honolulu Star-Examiner. Photo credits go to the 18th Air Base Photo Laboratory at Wheeler Field in Honolulu.
