14”Hand painted wooden plate , Telemark Norwegian Rosemaling

Description

This is a 14”Hand painted wooden decorative plate,signed and sold by the artist. It is done in Telemark style of Norwegian Rosemaling.The plate is with a tan background color and is finished in red earth, pine green, storm white, black and white strokes and scrolls. There is a golden strip around the rim next to the sapphire blue line. It’s hard to see on the picture. This is one of a kind plate as the design and the strokes can not be done the same way on another plate as they are freehanded. The varnish is gloss so the plate looks very festive.
